LLENGUA ESTRANGERA - SETMANA 8 al 12 de juny

a) Let´s visit Canada (Part II):

    - Open the notebooks on the "Book activities" section.

    - Write the dictionaries and the Internet to help you.

    - Use a sentence to answer. Use more than one word.

    - The questions are:    1. What´s the name of the Canadian flag?

                                            2. What´s the name of the Canada´s queen? (It´s a very old and rich person)

                                            3. Can you "pay" in Canada using euros?

                                            4. Is Canada in Africa, Europe or in America?

                                            5. When is the Day of Canada? (Spain has got a day too. I suppose you know it)

LLENGUA ESTRANGERA & ART - SETMANA 25 al 29 de maig

ENGLISH & ART (Recycling Day)

a) Recycling Symbol:    - Watch this video to learn how to draw the logo:

                                        - Use a sheet of paper or a sketchbook and draw it.

                                        - Decorate it, colour it or paint it as you like. You can use

 different materials but use the colour green, ok?

                                        - Enjoy!!


b) Optional:    - You can include a poem, a sentence or a little text about this day. 

"Cheer up" (ánimo) and use your creativity and imagination.


c) 3"R" or 5 "R" rule?:    At school, we work the 3 "R" rule. Many people in the

 world consider that there are 5 "R"s, and not 3.

                      - Open the notebook on "Book Activities" section.

                      - Use the internet (or ask your parents) and search information about what 

are the other 2 "R"s to complete the 5 "R" rule. 

                      - Write the information in your notebook in 2 or 3 lines.

ENGLISH & ART  
a) Let´s "learn" (new word) with the clock:   
            - Materials you need: the spinner of the Twister game, paper o card, scissors, glue, crayons, a marker, an egg box and the ruler. 
            - The objective is to reuse the spinner of the Twister game to make a clock and practise "the time" (la hora).
            - Look at the photos:    1) Take the spinner´s circle and copy the shape on the paper or card.
                                                     2) Use the ruler to divide the circle in 2 equal parts.
                                                     3) Colours the left and the right "half" (new word) of the circle. Use different colours.
                                                     4) Cut it out and use the marker to "highlight" (new word) the shape and the division.
                                                     5) Use the egg box (for example) to make the arrows. Draw the arrows and cut the arrows out. Use scissors.
                                                     6) Colour the arrows and prepare the barbecue stick to "pierce" (new word) the arrows. Watch out! (id con ojo)
                                                     7) Finish the clock and write the numbers around the circle (1-12). 

             - VERY IMPORTANT: "Keep" (new word) the clock at home. We will use the clock in 5th.

a) "Rainforest Rescue":    
- It´s the 2nd week and the reading book "should" (new word) be finished.
                                            
 - "Rainforest Rescue" has got an Activity Book. Do the activities from the pages 1 to 11. They are easy.
                                             
- Pay attention to the questions on page number 9. The answers need an "s" because it appears "does" in que                question. I help you with the number 1. "Rosie pointat..."
                                          
- Open your notebook and copy these questions on "Book Activities" section.
        1. What ´s your favourite character?
        2. "Did" you like the story? (Pay attention to "did". It´s like "do" but in the past).
        3. Do you continue loving nature?
        4. Can you describe an orangutan? Describe it using three sentences with the verbs have got
             to be and can.
        5. What is a Rainforest? A Rainforest is...

ART 
a) Twister (3rd Part): 
   - Materials you need: scissors, glue stick, a plate, a piece of cardboard or card, the ruler and a 
"barbecue stick" (new word).
   - Look at the photos and follow the steps.
   - To make the arrow you need a small piece of cardboard and the ruler. Pay attention 
 to the "size" (new word).
   - Now the "Twister spinner" is ready. It´s the moment to play.
   - You can watch some videos on YouTube if you don´t know how to play.
   - Enjoy a lot!

a) Can you send me a photo with the activity of the alphabet on your notebook? Thanks
b) Let´s read!:    - Click on this link - www.oxfordlearnersbookshelf.com    (It´s a web site you can visit to read books)
                             - Look at the photos (if you need some help) to "sign in" (firmar).
                             - Complete the information and click in "Create my account".
                             - When you are in "My books", click on the "arrow" (new word) that is on the other side pointing down.
                            - When it points to the "right" (new word) repeat the step with the next 4 arrows.
                            - The book you are going to read is in "Level 1". Choose the book "Rainforest Rescue", it´s at the end of the list.
                            - You have got two weeks to read it, ok?.
                            - You have got the possibility of listening to the story, too. Click on the British flag circle (not American).
                            - On pages 30 and 31 you have got a "Picture Dictionary" with vocabulary.
                            - Read and enjoy.

ART
a) Let´s play Twister (1st part): - Materials you need: a compass, 4 colour pencils or crayons, 8 "sheets of paper" (new word) and scissors.
                                                        - Step 1: Draw 24 circles. Draw three circles on each sheet of paper. (look at the photo)
                                                        - Colour 6 circles using one colour. Colour other 6 circles using another colour...
                                                        - Finish the activity when you cut-out the 24 circles.
                                                        - Your parents can help you to draw, colour and cut-out the circles.
                                                        - Next week, the 2nd part. Be patient, ;)
